This resource book helps teenage learners establish an immediate association between a written word and its image. There are seventeen broad topics sub-divided into more specific categories providing a total of 1000 words. It gives teenagers the opportunity to learn a wide range of English and broaden their understanding of the world around them while also having fun.
The Picture Dictionary provides a more sophisticated set of vocabulary than that of the Children's Picture Dictionary. Each topic, such as sports, is sub-divided into distinct word families, for example basketball, football, tennis and swimming. This helps the learners to remember the words through association.
This dictionary can be used for either self study or in class.
