How STYLE works in the classroom
Schools that have registered as STYLE testing centers may give STYLE tests at any time.
Prior to giving their first STYLE tests, schools should study the STYLE syllabus and assessment test and also listen to the cassette to decide which level(s) of STYLE are appropriate for their students.
The tests are divided into Listening and Reading sections each comprising several questions. Details about the six levels are shown in the table.

Schools order tests and cassettes for each group of students from Saxoncourt or one of our agents, and then return the tests to us for marking. The certificates for every student and the overall results list are returned your school within 2 weeks. Certificates show results as 3 Lions (Good), 2 Lions (Fair) and 1 Lion (Poor). Students who get only 2 Lions should be encouraged to study more at home and those who get only 1 Lion should be given remedial attention.
We encourage schools to arrange a ceremony to give the certificates to the students in the presence of their parents. This event is a good opportunity to suggest to parents that their sons and daughters should continue to study English at your school and to attempt the next level of STYLE.
