Lift Off is for children aged between 9 and 11 and teaches a basic knowledge and understanding of English through the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
There are three student books, one for each level of the course. Each has 20 units and is designed to be used over two 55 minute lessons. Each unit of Lift Off reviews the previous unit, introduces a new teaching point and practises this in simple sentences, picture descriptions and dialogues. Activities for listening, reading, writing, speaking and pronunciation in addition to exercises for vocabulary building can all be found in the student books and the workbooks.
The separate teacher's book includes full step-by-step lesson notes with additional activities for each lesson. These will be available in the near future for free download.
