Alpha Books 1 and 2 prepare children to read and write. They teach the alphabet and introduce simple letter sounds. The books give thorough practice of the phonic value of each letter at the beginning, middle and end of words.
Book 1 teaches the formation of upper and lower case letters, builds vocabulary using a picture dictionary and focuses on the phonic value of each letter.
Book 2 extends writing skills and contrasts commonly confused letters and sounds through fun exercises.
